The Story of the Frog Prince or Iron Henry is a story collected by the brothers Grimm and features as the first story in Grimms Fairy tales.

It's speculated that this story dates back to the 13th century and may have existed in some form as early as Roman times!

The plot of the story involves a prince who has been cursed to take the appearance of a Frog. The prince goes on to retrieve a golden ball that a princess has accidentally dropped into a pond and befriends her.

In the version of the story I'm familiar with the Frog becomes human again after receiving a kiss from the princess, however in the Grimms brother telling he becomes human again after being thrown against a wall!
