This brooch is inspired by Mexican street food stalls that sells fruit cups! The diced fruit is usually served with Tajin (a seasoning consisting of lime chilli and salt) and chamoy (a sauce made from a variety of pickled fruits and dried chillis)

I decided that the Keel-billed Toucan (also known as the rainbow-billed toucan) would be a good fit for this fruit stall. They can be found in the tropical jungles of Southern Mexico! This Toucans diet consists primarily of fruit, although they can supplement their diet with other foods such as insects!
 
This Brooch is made from a variety of handcast marbled and glittered acrylics.
